Labor Day Night Race @ Davis Island Yacht Club

Started in 1936 by the Tampa Sailing Squadron as a Labor Day cruise to Sarasota, in 1948 it became the Tampa to Sarasota Labor Day Race. In the early 1950′s, DIYC, took over sponsorship of the race and it has been running annually since that time. The Friday evening of the Labor Day weekend, the night race begins just south of the club.

SaS-logoUS Sailing International Offshore Safety at Sea One Day Hands-On Course 

Registration Deadline Extended to 1 Sep, 2018

Program completion confers a 5 year certification to participate in offshore International Races or where a World Sailing (ISAF) certification is required, as well as preparing Long Distance Cruising Sailors, and any other sailor who wishes to be safer on the water and gain hands on practical experience.

Moderator: Chuck Hawley – the voice and face of Safety at Sea

Cost: $250 ($5 early registration discount for US sailing member and $25 early registration discount for FCYC members)

Lunch will be available at a separate cost. Limited to 100 participants
